Professional Background Screening Association Founding Member

The Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) – formerly the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) – exists to advance excellence in the screening profession. PBSA promotes ethical business practices, compliance with the FCRA, equal employment opportunity and state and international consumer protection laws related to background screening. PBSA provides educational programs aimed at empowering members to better serve their clients.


Founded in 1948, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR membership organization devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 275,000 members in over 160 countries, SHRM is the leading provider of resources to serve the needs of HR professionals and advance the professional practice of human resource management. SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United States and subsidiary offices in China, India and United Arab Emirates.


SHRM of Greater Phoenix (SHRMGP) is proud to be a local affiliate chapter of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest professional membership organization in Human Resource Management. SHRMGP has been recognized nationally for its programs and accomplishments, including being awarded the SHRM Superior Merit Award status.

SHRMGP has four meeting locations: Central Valley, East Valley, North Valley and West Valley. With over 400 members representing over 200 companies throughout metropolitan Phoenix, SHRMGP is the largest local chapter of the Arizona State SHRM Council. Founded in 1947 as the Phoenix Personnel Club, the organization has continued to change to meet the growing needs of human resource professionals.
